What's the Monarch's Choice?

Under Chapter 5 of the Anniversary Countdown -> North Ocean War Song Monarchs are presented with a choice, do you help the North Ocean Principality or the Northern Tribe?

What's the difference between North Ocean Principality and Northern Tribe?

Based on the (lengthy) reading of the chapters thus far, the main difference is 

• North Ocean Principality - Led by Ludwig, wielder of the Frostwolf Sword. General stats unknown but will potentially be released by the end of the event.

• Northern Tribe - Led by Alessandra, wielder of the Snow Eagle Helmet, adopted daughter of the Nordic Barbarian King and the new strongest ground general in the game.

What happens when you pick a choice?

So far, when you select a choice, you get one of the two screens below. Alternatively, you can wait for the next chapter's release to see if there are more clues to the purpose and impact of the choice as you cannot undo your choice once selected.

What impact does this choice have?

The true purpose of this choice is unknown so far but here are some potential educated guesses based on previous events from Evony:

• Most players will probably select North Ocean Principality since it's the top choice;

• The choice may allow you to unlock either Ludwig or Alessandra in an event shop that will likely conclude this event;

• This may just be the illusion of choice and your selection does not impact your gameplay.

Personally, I'm going to wait for a few more chapters before picking to see if we get more information.
