Here, we will focus on all generals but we'll also be putting out a second list for just free-to-play generals. Note that the strength of a general will always depend on your budget and spend.

The tier lists below start at the strongest generals on the tier list and are ordered from left to right in power level in the S-Tier and A-Tier. Below A-Tier is alphabetical. Some generals may appear more than once in different categories.

The specialized monster hunters are in a class of their own so I've broken them out in S-Tier. However, most other mounted generals can be used for either PVP or hunting monsters fairly equally.

Non-historical generals are not worth using and very few legendary (purple) generals are worth using other than Cleopatra.

Instructions and Caveats

• Some generals such as Dmitry and Saladin have some special use-cases, but for most players will generally not be very useful in a fighting scenario.
• Sub generals that do not debuff enemy troops are generally ranked very low. Construction and troop training are not great attributes for sub generals, but keeping one Charles Martel may be beneficial.
• Generals that only have one skill (usually 35% attack boost) cannot equip a skill book of the same name. This means that anyone with over 10% on a dual skill will outperform these generals on attack once equipped with a 25% attack skill book.
• As Trajan is so readily available from the tavern, no other free ground general is worth keeping.
