Who Is the Strongest Ground General in the Game? Ground generals in the game play differently from archer generals. Where archer generals rely on pure attack power and range to win battles, ground generals focus mainly on Ground Defense and Ground HP. This allows them to survive long enough to get up close and personal.

Ground generals in the game play differently from archer generals. Where archer generals rely on pure attack power and range to win battles, ground generals focus mainly on Ground Defense and Ground HP. This allows them to survive long enough to get up close and personal.

The strongest ground generals in the game are Scipio Africanus, Trajan and Carus. I've also added Oda Nobunaga as a comparison, but since Trajan is available from the tavern there's no reason to build Oda up.

Note that the current sorting of this list is the maximum theoretical power of each general, but this assumes the following:

1. All four specialties are unlocked
2. March Size translates to corresponding increases in Defense, HP, and Attack
3. Skill Books: Ground Speed, Ground Defense, Ground HP

Who Is the Strongest Ground General Without Spending Money?

The strongest archer general without spending real money is Trajan from tavern. He's arguably stronger than even Carus, the second-best premium pack general. Without specialties unlocked, Trajan is even stronger than Scipio and can also be used as a wall general, where Scipio cannot.

Strongest Defensive Ground General

Click on the header for "Total XXX" or "No Specials" to sort from high to low. "Total XXX" represents the total boost once you maximize all four specialties, and "No Specials" represents a general where you have not used any runestones.

If you do decide not to use many or any runestones on your ground general, Trajan becomes the strongest ground general.

Strongest HP Ground General

HP is derived from the Leadership trait. It is not as important as Defense for ground troops, but still very good to keep your ground troops alive for long enough to deal damage.

Strongest Attack Ground General

Carus has the highest attack out of all the generals. However, generally speaking, this does not make up for the loss of defense and HP on your ground units when compared to Scipio and Trajan.
